Terrible Northern Shipyard, Langkawi Malaysia

After 7 months on the shipyard and 3 months, 3 months delay the Seawolf boat is still not completely reconditioned, the situation is worse than a nightmare that one could put to end by waking up instead people are stuck, in unlimited promises from the shipyard staff, without any possibility to eschew existing awful unfolded position.

Northern Shipyard web page describe a beautiful illusion of services which customers will get though contrary a catastrophic consequence will wait to shock unaware ship owners. First to debunk their majestic experience of 25 years in the field with unprofessional and careless workers which several times, despite pointing out and explaining the issue at the beginning, still welded the engine support on the boat just for later to cut it down. The captain was driven mental by watching defenseless for days how most of the time the workers have a scheme of one main producer and 3 or 4 persons who act as a support group that are smoking, playing phones, riding the motorbike around or taking naps. Their behavior could be depict as scandalos and outrageous but not the inferior chain bare the responsibility rather to be blamed is the managerial staff who in non nonchalant manner hire unskilled people for crucial tasks. Given the facts of difference in work culture with developed countries some disturbance could be tolerated but reality is pretty astonishing when management staff and labour people's have a contradictory and disingenuous attitude.

Special praise should be also given to french manager Ludwig and his chief, broken neck playmate Branden which are kind of useless site managers who don't have any control at all of their own subordinates so we ended up to find by our self the workers and ask for help. Ludwig is sleazy and apathetic individ which attracted with false and elaborated lies many ship owners with promise that necessary maintenance will be carry out with outstanding experience and qualification of his underlying staff that he is not able to steer, right Ludwig? He is known for similar unethical methods from others customers as well, check here, in result, huge economical losses, many broken vacations and precious nerve cells have been lost in this putrid agreement relationship. Sincerely I don't think these people and Northern shipyard have any understanding arrangement of logistic, estimation, planing, controlling or holding time limits thus Northern Shipyard should be discredited as functional facility with discarded mess lying everywhere which certain have been payed to corrupted safety public officers to close the eyes on trash and dangerous work condition and the garbage dump of shipyard that is teeming with rats. Going to extrems just to increase profitability of the company will result in devastating credibility among the customers not only in surrounding of Langkawi but also in entire global ship and yacht community.   
Long disappointing conversations, angry emails, countless visits to shipyard have left no choice than to take the initiative in our hand and apply the remaining paint coating, adjust and fit the floor above of the sticking out engine that haven't been positioned right, redesign and mount the zink anods, finding and connecting the wires and other cosmetic works. The boat is definitely not ready with unfixed liking fresh water system tanks,  removed bladders and defect gearbox in combination with rising temper conflicts the boat was deployed on the water. The faith have treated unfairly Seawolf boat and its crew and in the current state will wade carefully to another shipyard to address care against disastrous treatment from Northern Shipyard.

Warning recommendation

Report, spread and avoid scammers of Northern Shipyard, go around at least 1000 km from the Northern Shipyard sinkhole other wise you will be trapped and disintegrated on small pieces. Remember the Northern Shipyard name not only as terrible workshop but also as an alarming curse bell and even if Ludwig and Brandon will be dismissed in addition with all the others myriad of incompetent workers this place have tendency anyway to drown under water for the poor service they provide.

  1. Totally agree, these clowns cost me a fortune correcting there appalling work. Even just paintig the bottom was a disaster
    , I had the boat surveyed for sale immediacy after they finished with it and was told the anitfouling would have to be completely redone, this and everything else they touched drove the sale price down. Avoid this nightmare company like the plague.
