South East Asia is Hot
If I can't change the environment then I have to change myself
Since I moved to South East Asia and lived in many places I could enjoy meeting new people, watching amazing sunsets, drinking juice in cooler nights, walking in green forest, swimming in warm sea and eating fresh fruits that stinks sometimes. Everything sounds like a perfect life, yeah? What else could you wish from your living? But this isn’t a paradise and not even a dream life in a tropical place in a small house on the beach. If you have been to these places before then is hard not to notice the obvious thing like sweating bodies in the heat.No presence of the trees or shadows makes the black asphalt to absorb nearly all the heat from the sun and you feel like you are on the pan, frying your brain but this wouldn't be enough without some spices so to this dish you need to add the amazing traffic of Ho Chi Minh with the sweetness of pollution which is a wonder in itself, now combine all these ingredients together and your daylife will be complete. I knew that I can’t change the environment around me quickly enough to be able to enjoy it, I couldn’t say to global warming to stop heating the planet or I couldn’t tell the people to stop driving these dirty motorbikes and follow the rules in the traffic, so if I can’t change the environment then I should change myself and this is exactly what I did. How? I decided to become a night person and I’m not talking about going to pubs or clubs or drinking I’m talking about normal life and do the same things as people do in daylife but completely opposite. If the people are awake during the day I will be awake during the night, if they sleep during the night then I will sleep during the day, If they drive during the day I will drive during the night, simple. So now is more then two months since I changed to have a nightlife and as everything else in this world all the things has two sides, good and bad.
The good thing is that, now I enjoy going out without being stroked by the heat and sun, also there is no more motorbikes and the traffic disappear in the night and the amount of pollution decrease as well, another good thing is that I could have all the internet speed only for myself because everyone in the house are sleeping so I can use wi-fi with higher speed, hilarious right? But this is fact that you can’t go around. Everything sounds very good but there are also bad things. Except that most of the city is sleeping and the places like groceries, restaurants or public offices are closed there is something else (video) Yes that guy was right your real social life is becoming less active as well and is tending to shift to digital social life where people are online all the time. In the end I enjoying my owl life it is not so bad after all but in one month the night owl will become an early bird again.
Tell me in the comments below are you an early bird or a night owl.
8:25 am time to sleep, good night.
