Bucegi Natural park and Mamaliga

It was raining entire day before and the all morning when I went by the train to Busteni which is a small village on south east side of the park. My goal on the journey was day tours in the nature because i didn't want to have way to heavy backpack carrying with me around. So this time i don't have tent or sleeping bag or other kind of hiking equipment, I was even glad when I lost my rain-pants somewhere in Budapest because now my package is lighter after that :)
The Bucegi Nationel Park is quite different from all those parks I have been before. Dens forest on steep slopes makes this place challenging to hike, as the information board on the entrance to the park warn to have professional hiking equipment and notice that the trails are of very high difficulties level with probability to get in contact with bears.

Although is a National park there is enough of garbage on the hiking's paths don't understand those people who do that. Annoying and upset that someone have no feeling of protecting, keeping and maintaining the place in original shape, what push one to throw the trash is laziness, indifference and inability to distinguish basics of what is normal to do and what is not. Seems that a lack of general knowledge is the problem to all that. Avoiding the problems are not going to solve them so in Brasov I couldn't see anymore all that plastic waste round and i start to pick up with me plastic bottles to throw them in garbage to justify myself to do something.

In the forest was a plenty of mushrooms and to my surprising that I know the types or at least some of those are the same as I picked up in Sweden. Is no better way to spend time in forest by combining hiking and mushrooms hunting :)

So in the bowl are chantarelles and those enormous one are penny ban and you know what? I know how to make a delicious dinner with them. As a lover of preparing food this was a present from the forest with no chemicals or other poisonous stuff.

The recipe is easy: a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper and some minutes in oven this is more than enough to have a taste dish.

This is Romania and traditional food is Mamaliga is kind of italian polenta but more thicker made of cornflour, water and salt. The deep sauce to this dish is Mojdei made of garlic, oil, water, salt, paper and lemon if you like. The next to mamaliga is a smoked on the ember aubergine with onion. Great vegan healthy food. Bon apptetit :)
